This useful bit of tech is a damping adapter for when the Alpine SPC-106S907 (Mercedes Sprinter 3) high-end component speakers or similar models are fitted in your vehicle.
 
This device will reduce the amount of sound that is projected from your centre speaker, getting rid of any tinny, low-quality sounds that are picked up. This will help to provide a deeper and more well-rounded sound package from all of the speakers within your vehicle, reducing the centre speaker’s dominance.
 
It is only necessary if you have a 10-inch MBUX with the centre speaker installed.
