What to do while you're visiting Motorhome Retrofits

Come and visit Motorhome Retrofits

As quite a lot of the work we offer at our specially equipped Motorhome Workshop can take quite a few hours or days to get everything just right, we thought it would be an idea to let you know what you can do with your time.

WHERE TO STAY

Being in a special part of the UK we have some fantastic Campsites, Hotels and other establishments locally where you can pitch up or stay the night. That being said, we seem to have customers staying in two places in particular:

First up is South Lytchett Manor Caravan and Camping Park which is only 5 miles from our door. It’s recently won the accredited “AA’s Campsite of the Year 2021” and “Best Touring Caravan and Camping Park” at the South West Tourism Awards 2020-2021. With some great facilities in an amazing part of the County, you’ll be well looked after. You can book your stay online here: https://www.southlytchettmanor.co.uk

If you’re looking at more of a hotel stay whilst you come down to see us then the local Premier Inn (Holes Bay) is a stone’s throw away from us and has all the usual amenities you would come to expect.

It’s conveniently located and whilst you’re there, you’ll benefit from some great views and a short walk into Poole Town Centre. It’s also great for when you come to see us as it’s just down the Dual Carriageway and only takes a few minutes to get to us!

You can book a room using the link below:

WHAT TO DO

If you’re only lucky to be with us for a few hours, then the most popular choice is the Local Entertainment Complex called Tower Park which is a 10-15min walk away from our building.

Tower Park

Tower Park offers attractions such as Cineworld Cinema, Hollywood Bowling and even caters for family entertainment. If you’re a gym goer then PureGym is also based here.

When it comes to grabbing some food, you have the likes of Nandos, Pizza Hut, TGI Fridays and a few other restaurants. You will also benefit from a big Tesco Extra that has a pretty large Cafe inside.

If you want to check out more info a bout Tower Park, then visit their website by clicking this link: https://towerparkentertainment.co.uk

Sandbanks

If you’re staying for the day or over a few days, then it’s worthwhile making the most of your time with us then the natural next place is Poole. Home to the world’s second largest natural harbour and the world-famous Sandbanks Beaches you’ll find plenty to do which can keep you entertained for the day.

Poole Town Centre has the usual mainstream shops that you will find in The Dolphin Shopping Centre. If old school is more to your liking, then Poole Old Town is great to explore and even has its own museum right next to the Quay. Whilst you’re down that end of the town, keep an eye out for Coffee Saloon if you enjoy a great coffee!

Once you’ve made yourself to the harbour you won’t fail to miss a whole host of different boats and the main HQ of Sunseeker International.

Corfe Castle
Corfe Castle

If you’re more of an explorer or keen cyclist then taking the time to go and see (and walk or ride) part of the Jurassic Coast and check out the Purbecks. You can start your adventure with a crossing of the Sandbanks Ferry and make your way to Old Harry Rocks then on to Swanage, Worth Matravers and lots of other great locations like Corfe Castle and Wareham!

Jurassic Coast Trust

The Jurassic Coast is a hugely diverse and beautiful landscape underpinned by incredible geology of global importance. Find out more about what makes it so special by clicking the link below: https://jurassiccoast.org/

GETTING ABOUT

Whilst we’ve got your vehicle, it’s likely it’s your main form of Transport so you’ll need a couple of options to allow you to get about. Now in most instances most Motorhome Owners are quite happy to take themselves for a good old fashioned walk or dust the bicycles off.

However, if those two forms of transport don’t take your fancy then a couple of other options for you:

We hope that after reading this blog you’ll realise that we don’t just care about your vehicle and the equipment we’re installing but also for you and giving you several different options to really enjoy your stay with us. It’s hopefully given you all the extra bits of info you need before you make your decision or to help you plan your day.

As always if you need any further info or help with any of the above or a retrofit you’re planning then make sure you get in touch with us directly.
